Notes:
One of biggest signings in club's history, linking up with brother-in-law Steve Price for 2008 season. In career-first, played every NRL match he was available for (24) plus all three Origin games for Queensland only to be ruled out of World Cup final. Was back to full fitness for the start of the 2009 NRL campaign only to be struck down with another season-ending knee injury playing against his old Brisbane side in round three. Spent most of 2009 and the following off-season in rehab but finally made playing return in final 2010 NRL trial against Manly, coming through 45 minutes untroubled. Went on to appear in each of the Vodafone WSarriors' first nine games of the season, his try against Canberra lifting his career tally to 50. Made his 150th NRL appearance in the match against North Queensland on May 15. Leaving the club at the end of the season to take up a three-year deal with North Queensland. He and wife Lani became first-time parents with birth of son Kyden in 2008. Tate has taken up university studies in sports marketing. Educated at Clontarf Beach State High School, Brisbane.
