Forward Sam Lousi will leave the Vodafone Warriors at the end of the season after being granted a request to be released from the last year of his contract in 2015.

“Sam’s manager Peter Brown asked for the release and we’ve agreed to let Sam go when his 2014 commitments are over,” said Vodafone Warriors general manager football Dean Bell.

“Sam has been in our system for a while now and we wish him all the best for his future.”

Predominantly used in the New South Wales Cup over the last three seasons, Lousi (23) made his first two NRL appearances in 2012 and had one game this year.

He has made 14 appearances for the Vodafone Warriors’ New South Wales Cup side this season and will again line up in their week two finals encounter with Illawarra at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday.

Lousi played 44 times for the Vodafone Junior Warriors in 2010 and 2011 and was a member of the club’s NYC grand final-winning teams each season.
