Vodafone Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei fronted the media for the first time today after being confirmed for the rugby league v rugby union Fight For Life at Trusts Stadium on December 15.
First 'The Beast' put on a quick show for the cameras, working with his trainer and former Vodafone Warrior Monty Betham on the pads and then the bag.
Afterwards he fronted up for interviews, talking about his desire to fight to raise awareness for the prostate cancer charity the Fight For Life is supporting this year; Vatuvei lost an uncle to prostate cancer.
Both Betham and promoter Dean Lonergan issued a challenge for a current All Black to front up to take on Vatuvei. Lonergan said he was interested only in an All Black opponent who had appeared in 25 or more Tests.
