Player Review: Konrad HURRELL
Age: 21 | NRL Debut: 2012 | NRL Career Games: 17

2012 Recap:
Everyone had heard that the big unit was going to make an impression once unleashed... and even from the bench in Round 1 he did just that. He ran for 154 metres on 14 carries with 4 tackle breaks in his NRL debut against Manly, and from Round 10 to Round 18 he was an unstoppable force - scoring 11 tries in 7 straight games (including his first career hat-trick against the Titans in Round 18) and breaking 39 tackles at a rate of 5.6 per game in that span.
While he cooled off towards the end of the year as he struggled with a leg injury, Hurrell was a bright spot in a disappointing year in Auckland.

2013 Prospects:
While he was a wrecking ball in his debut season, he is still learning the game and this off-season is a chance for him to adapt to new coach Matthew Elliott’s game plan and find his role within the team. Considering the spurts of quality he showed in 2012 - who knows what he is capable of next year?
