Operation three-peat live on SKY Sport

SKY Sport 2 will have live coverage of the Vodafone Junior Warriors’ week one NYC finals clash tomorrow (Sunday) as they begin their bid to win a third straight premiership.

The John Ackland-coach 2010-2011 premiers finished the regular season level at the top of the table with Canterbury-Bankstown – but second on points for and against – after beating Canberra 26-12 yesterday.

The Vodafone Junior Warriors are pitted against the Raiders again this weekend as they set their sights on a three-eat. The match, being played at Canberra Stadium, will be shown live on SKY Sport 2 at 3.30pm (NZ time).

In week one under the McIntyre system the Vodafone Junior Warriors, as the second-placed side, would have played the seventh-ranked team but the new format introduced this year sees first against fourth, second playing third, fifth against eighth and sixth facing seventh.

When the two teams met in Canberra in April, the Vodafone Junior Warriors led 28-18 with only 12 minutes to go but conceded three late tries to lose 28-32.
