Luck to lead side in farewell match

Despite captain Simon Mannering returning from injury, Micheal Luck will lead the Vodafone Warriors when he makes his last appearance before retiring in today’s season-ending NRL clash against Canberra at Mount Smart Stadium (4.00pm kick-off NZ time; game day sponsor: Vodafone).

Luck’s farewell match is also his milestone 150th appearance for the club.

The Vodafone Warriors will take the same starting line-up into the match as selected on Tuesday. The bench includes three other departing players – Ukuma Ta’ai, Lewis Brown and James Maloney – plus prop Russell Packer, who played his 100th NRL match last week. Dropping off the bench are Sione Lousi (18th man), Sam Lousi and Sebastine Ikahihifo, who all played for the Auckland Vulcans in their season-ending 52-8 win against Cronulla in the New South Wales Cup yesterday.
