Gold Coast trio in doubt for Vodafone Warriors

Three of Gold Coast’s front-line players are reportedly in doubt for Saturday night’s 18th-round NRL encounter with the Vodafone Warriors at Mount Smart Stadium.

New South Wales back rower Greg Bird emerged from last night’s Origin decider indicating he had a torn pectoral muscle, an injury which has troubled him recently. If the injury is confirmed he could miss the rest of the season.

Veteran prop Luke Bailey, who was named in the side on Tuesday, is said to be a 50-50 prospect and still needs to pass a fitness test after being troubled by a rib injury recently.

Winger David Mead is unlikely to play after his father passed away this week.

The Titans are already without experienced loose forward Ashley Harrison, who had to rule himself out of contention for last night’s Origin decider.
