Eat Well, PlayWell, Stay Well

The Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well” programme uses the game of Rugby League to encourage students to consider their own behaviours and attitudes towards leading a healthy, balanced life.
The programme has been developed for use in all levels of primary schools and will provide lessons that can be delivered to children aged 5 – 12 years over a 5 week programme. The lessons look to achieve personal development, health and physical activity outcomes. All of the interaction will aim to provide outcome-based learning strategies.
All activities will allow students to be able to demonstrate an achievement of knowledge, skills and value outcomes, which they can then translate into real life situations.
By examining their own life experiences and learning through Rugby League, students can be empowered to make healthy lifestyle decisions now and in the future.
